Leonardo Pisano Fibonacci and Leonardo da Vinci
Leonardo Pisano Fibonacci
-The "greatest European mathematician of the middle ages"
-Fibonacci's Mathematical Contributions
Leonardo da Vinci
-He had a keen eye and quick mind that led him to make important scientific discoveries, yet he never published his ideas.
-He was a gentle vegetarian who loved animals and despised war,
yet he worked as a military engineer to invent advanced and deadly
weapons.
-He was one of the greatest painters of the Italian Renaissance, yet he left only a handful of completed paintings.
Throughtout this lecture, said by Bulent Atalay, himself a scientist and artis "eyes was window to soul" already provent by Leonardo Pisano Fibonacci and Leonardo da Vinci. They combined mathematics + science and art in all of their artwork. Everything was done preferably and accurate. They did interpreter with mathematics and science. I have really no idea with how could they did so through the century that time. Leonardo Pisano Fibonacci live 3 hundred years before Leonardo da Vinci.
Back to the Mathematics...
Let's look at the ratio of each number in the Fibonacci sequence to the one before it:This ratio was used by architects and artists throughout history to produce objects of great beauty (like Michelangelo's "David" and the Greek temples.)Φ=1.6180339887...

Samsudin Wahab
Biography:
• Born
in Perak
• Samsudin
Wahab majored in printmaking, graduating in 2007 with a Bachelor (Hons.) Fine
Arts from UiTM, Shah Alam
• He
regularly exhibits paintings in group shows in Malaysia, and in 2008 held a
solo entitled Enough! in Kuala Lumpur.
• In
2009, Samsudin was granted the Rimbun Dahan 15th Australia-Malaysia Visual Arts
Residency, which culminated in an exhibition of paintings and sculpture, and a
performance piece. Samsudin was also a 2009 winner of the Malaysia Emerging
Artist (MEA) Award.
• Education
– 2005
- 2007 : Bachelor (Hons.) Fine Arts,
Majoring in Print Making, UiTM Shah Alam.
– 2002
- 2005 : Diploma in Fine Arts, UiTM Seri Iskandar, Perak.
What he does?
• Using
oil paint, bitumen, stencil and linocuts as his materials, Samsudin managed to
portray the people, the culture, the society and the politics surrounding him
into surreal editorial cartoons that emulate propaganda posters. There are
chimpanzees in party hats and business suits juggling balls (‘Powerless’), and
having boxing competitions in the ring (‘Lightweight vs Heavyweight’). There
are plump clowns playing marionette (‘The Dalang’) and men in prim suits arm wrestling
with cocked guns as heads pointing at each other (‘Boneka’).
• Samsudin
Wahab blends influences from comic subculture, graphics and graffiti with such
great dexterity that his visually stunning artworks carry with them a high dose
of fantasy. On surface they may look like comics for adults, but underneath
that layer of theatrics is a dark and satiric sense of humour documenting our
world’s current affairs and historical events that are often sad, tragic and
overlooked. It’s tongue-in-cheek and it’s high entertaining. By borrowing
visual references from the circus such as juggling chimpanzees, playful monkeys
and terrifying clowns, Samsudin Wahab managed to make his politically conscious
works easily approachable and relatable to almost anyone. And that is his
trademark.
